DOCUMENT TITLE: Secret CIA report on in-house CIA Remote Viewing personnel SUBJECT: A secret CIA report is issued detailing a strategic military Remote Viewing project utilizing in-house CIA personnel PARTIES: Scientology OT VII Hal Puthoff, Scientology OT VII Ingo Swann; Scientology OT VII Pat Price; Central Intelligence Agency (CIA); John McMahon, head of CIA's Office of Technical Services; "Ken Kress," CIA's Project Officer; Unknown head of CIA's Office of Research and Development (ORD); Unknown CIA personnel identified on by initals in title of report BACKGROUND AND NOTES This 13 January 1975 secret CIA report not only confirms the continuation and expansion of the CIA remote viewing program, headed by three Scientology OT VIIs, but offers the first evidence that CIA had its own in-house personnel being trained in the Scientology-based disciplines. Evidence to hand leads to the conclusion that OT VII Ingo Swann had been secretly training the CIA personnel during a period when he is unaccounted for--though still very much a part of the program--between 15 August 1973, when he left the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) Remote Viewing facility, and 15 October 1974, when he returned to SRI. 15 January 1975 A CIA report regarding the results of remote viewing experiments directed at a Libyan installation, as performed by various CIA "insiders," all members of CIA s Office of Technical Services (OTS): "OTS/SDB; Notes on Interviews with F. P., E. L., C. J., K. G., and V. C., January 1975 (SECRET)." [NOTE: This is the first confirmed indication that the CIA now has their own, in-house personnel as remote viewers. The only possible explanation with the available data is that Ingo Swann trained them during the period while he was away from the Stanford Research Institute labs: between 15 August 1973 and 15 October 1974.] SOURCE: A report, "Parapsychology in Intelligence: A Personal Review and Conclusions," by Dr. Kenneth A. Kress; appeared in the Winter 1977 issue of Studies in Intelligence, the CIA's classified internal publication; report released to the public in 1996 |
